Commercial Description:
The Yarlington Mill apple originates from deepest Somerset but is now found growing in many cider orchards. The well sized red and yellow apples are ready to harvest in late November. The juice is slow to ferment which produces a rich red medium cider

Crushed apple skins share both their sweetness and tartness with the large but quiet bubbling before dryness takes hold in the last half of the sip. This was a very drinkable and levelled cider with plenty of honest red apple flavors.

Comments: I can’t believe the difference between the bottle and the polypin. The latter, for which this rating stands, is as fresh as it gets, full-bodied, fleshy, juicy, soft-edged, perfumey and the list goes on. A delicate beast that is an archetypal English farmhouse cider. The best-selling cider at Middle Farm in bottle form.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Fresh and lightly tart apple nose. Full-bodied and sweetish with this typical English cider astringency - somewhat leathery. 120507

Bottled. A golden cider with no head. The aroma is acidic with strong notes of apples with a touch of wood. The flavor is a nice mixture of sweet and acidic with strong notes of apples.

Dark golden body with a big bubbled head; Deep sweet beautiful nose with a fresh and sour touch; Soft textured medium sweet slightly dry body; Long very drying finish, still being sweet, full and pleasant, lots of wood and a dry apple brett like dry aroma.

Bottle @ CBF 2007. Pours a clear golden yellow. Aroma has lots of apples and a barn-like dustyness to it. Flavour is perfectly balanced between sour and sweet. A little smokyness as well as loads og woodyness as well.
