Comments: Delicious, smelly, fresh, hay-like, leathery, complex cider that stays full-bodied and rather sweet all through, but still manages to be one of my favourite English farmhouse ciders.

500 ml bottle. Thanks to geth_in_beer for this one. Pale straw colour, crystal clear with a fresh apple character, light dustiness and a fresh spicy aromatic component that I can’t quite put my finger on. Slightly dank aroma behind the lighter melony character with heavy apple skin and a touch of wildness. A bit of white pepper and light fruity notes. Very dry and leathery through the middle with a crisp malic tartness on the back. Lovely, refreshing, and nuanced cider.

Bottle. Pretty good. Lightly carbonated mouthfeel. Medium dry, some apple sweetness at the start. Some musty apple characters, and a little more sweetness in the finish. Lightly cheesy characters, with a nice refreshing acidity in the finish. Good stuff.

From the barrel - Peterborough BF. A hazy green gold coloured cider with a welcoming juicy apply aroma. The taste is sharp and sweetish with plenty of apple core flavours. Nice and tasty but doesn’t match the perry.
