Comments: Delicious, smelly, fresh, hay-like, leathery, complex cider that stays full-bodied and rather sweet all through, but still manages to be one of my favourite English farmhouse ciders.

Sep 25, 2006 Bottle. Pretty good. Lightly carbonated mouthfeel. Medium dry, some apple sweetness at the start. Some musty apple characters, and a little more sweetness in the finish. Lightly cheesy characters, with a nice refreshing acidity in the finish. Good stuff.

Jun 19, 2007 500 ml bottle. Thanks to geth_in_beer for this one. Pale straw colour, crystal clear with a fresh apple character, light dustiness and a fresh spicy aromatic component that I can’t quite put my finger on. Slightly dank aroma behind the lighter melony character with heavy apple skin and a touch of wildness. A bit of white pepper and light fruity notes. Very dry and leathery through the middle with a crisp malic tartness on the back. Lovely, refreshing, and nuanced cider.

Dec 6, 2007 Bottle. Bright gold in colour. Aromas are earthy, sweet apple with caramel and syrup. Some acidicy. Flavours are woody and dry with alcohol. Very earthy apple with a dry and acidic finish. Good.

Aug 25, 2005 From the barrel - Peterborough BF. A hazy green gold coloured cider with a welcoming juicy apply aroma. The taste is sharp and sweetish with plenty of apple core flavours. Nice and tasty but doesn’t match the perry.

May 9, 2008 Polypin at Banbury Beer Festival 08-05-08 Lovely golden colour, very bright and clear. Amazing aroma huge pollen burst, Casey got dill, Loz got rapeseed, Tracey got banana pepper? I just got another, actually I didn’t but I was very tempted, good earthiness and woody flavours but apples are always whipping around I really liked this but for me the aroma was just incredible whatever we eventually decide it to be.
