Comments: Delicious, smelly, fresh, hay-like, leathery, complex cider that stays full-bodied and rather sweet all through, but still manages to be one of my favourite English farmhouse ciders.

Handbottled by Doppelganger - Very slightly hazy, deep golden body, big bubbled fast disappering white head; Super, super deep very interesting nose, very citrus fruity acid almost acetic deep hay and barnyard aromas behind; Very nice fresh and deep body, water-like drinkable, very balanced with a touch of salt, lots of drying tartaric and tannic acids; Long great finish, tartic dry with lots of great aromas, slightly oaky with very mellow peel aromas as well. Great, very interesting almost pushy. Thanks!

Bottle, Madame Fromage, Cardiff. Am not really a massive cider drinker, but I thoroughly enjoyed this. Poured an appealing rich golden colour with a vanishing head. Very clean and smooth taste with oaky tones. Alcohol very well masked. Would definitely have this again; and this might well have ignited some future interest in fermented apples for me.

Bottled. Bought this for my wife and ended up loving it myself. Fantastically fresh feeling, pours a clear gold with just enough tingling carbonation. Lovely fresh spice in the background, juicy apples up front. Gluggable on a dank, cold, wet December lunchtime; this would be a killer at a picnic on a balmy August afternoon.

Polypin at Banbury Beer Festival 08-05-08 Lovely golden colour, very bright and clear. Amazing aroma huge pollen burst, Casey got dill, Loz got rapeseed, Tracey got banana pepper? I just got another, actually I didn’t but I was very tempted, good earthiness and woody flavours but apples are always whipping around I really liked this but for me the aroma was just incredible whatever we eventually decide it to be.

500 ml bottle. Thanks to geth_in_beer for this one. Pale straw colour, crystal clear with a fresh apple character, light dustiness and a fresh spicy aromatic component that I can’t quite put my finger on. Slightly dank aroma behind the lighter melony character with heavy apple skin and a touch of wildness. A bit of white pepper and light fruity notes. Very dry and leathery through the middle with a crisp malic tartness on the back. Lovely, refreshing, and nuanced cider.

Bag in a box at the Portcullis, Clifton, Bristol 23/097/09. Per the box label this was at 7.2% ABV. Deep gold in colour with a slkight haze. Sweet apple juice aroma with soem banryard in the background. very easy drinking for the ABV, with plenty of juice, some mustiness and a decently dry finish. One of the best British ciders.
