yngwie (3322), Kristiansand, Norway Mar 29, 2008 Bottle. Pours a beautiful clear, copper body with a small, diminishing off-white head. Caramel sweet and fruity nose with a roasted touch. Quite pleasant actually, in an easy-to-drink way. The flavor has a little grainy touch that I didn’t like, but it’s mostly caramel-sweet and pleasantly fruity with a little roastiness. Medium body. Quite toffeeish in the finish, as well as a little fruity bitter. Quite nice one, easy to drink and easy to down. When finishing it, I have second thoughts, but let my rating stand. The beer might be too sweetish in the finish, but there’s enough bitterness to cope with it. (080329) bierkoning (4584), La Tropica, Netherlands Mar 3, 2008 Bottle from MiP. Brown color. maltaroma, bready with a hint of flour. Malty, bready flavor with caramel, milk chocolate and roast of roast and smoke. Medium bodied, very well balanced.
