Bottle at RBESG grand tasting, August 2005. Very sludgy appearance, but that might be because I got the last of the bottle so I’m giving default score for that. Lemony and biscuity. Not a lot of spice in evidence and the estery banana character is quite restrained. A proficient effort, but not a stand out.

Golden and clear - before pouring the sediments. The last sediments came in lumps! Not delicate. Far too carbonated for my taste..

A decent wheat beer from Norway. Well balanced fruit esters gives a nice spicy citrus taste. High on carbonation, but it doesn’t bother me to much. The brewer told me they will reduce the carbonation level.

Sampled at RBESG 2005. Golden colour with a weak head. Light yeasty aroma. Very little taste, some alcohol in the finish.

Hazy deep golden colour with big white head. Yeasty aroma with a bubblegum sweetness. Fairly bitter flavor with a a sweet wheaty note and a light spicy finish.

Deep golden beer. Big white head that reduced a bit. Banana and bubble gum aroma. Flavour is slightly on the bitter side for the style.Well-carbonated and fair body. A bit one-dimensional, but then again hefeweizen never made me jump up and down in excitement.

Bottle. (#1). Clear golden with large, white head. Extremely agressive carbonation. It should be more cloudy, but is seems like the carbonation pushes all haziness to the top. The head deminishes rather quickly. Aroma is definately weissbier. Too much metallic smell, though. Taste is nice, wheat, banana, citrus in the beginning, slowly fading into a more pronounced citric and spicey finish. A little thin, but very fizzy mouthfeel. Shall not complain though, it is the only Norwegian weissbier brewed at the moment, as Nøgne Ø has paused brewing it until the new brewery is running. (051006)

Lightly spicy citrus, banana and wheat in the aroma. Opaque yellow body with low white head. Banana, citrus and wheat flavours up front are chased by a low but persistent spiciness. Strong, lively carbonation to the medium-light body that finishes very dry. Bottle sampled at RBESG 2005.
