This beer is quite soft in the mouth, but bitterness quite full. Not much sweetness in this at all thoguh there is some quite crude cooking chocolate in there, but this is outweighed by the coffee. Maybe I wasn’t in a drinking mood tonight as I tired of this after a while and also became a bit fed up with this breweries Dobbel Dose that I had after. Really not a bad beer, in fact fine, its just I wasn’t really in the mood for it or it just wasn’t my thing. ditmier (1116), Boise, Idaho, USA

Good lacing. Taste is minor amount of chocolate, small amount of malt. Touch of hops. Different beer that is for sure, pretty good though. danielcurtis81 (913), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 17/20 | Sep 22, 2008 Getting notebook online. Bottle. A wheat stout? How does that work? Pretty well. Pours a slightly transparent black with a decent cream white head. Malts take over the nose. Taste is very light and refreshing, slight coffee and hints af roasted or smoke flavors. You don’t taste any signs of wheat until the finish. A change of pace for the stout lover afraid to venture too far from home. HomeBrewHawk (282), De Soto, Kansas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 21, 2008 500ml bottle, Batch 90. Bottle conditioned. Served in a snifter. Poured a deep, opaque black/brown with a finger of tan head that quickly dissipates. Fruity aroma with some roasted malt and a little alcohol. Very full bodied with an almost syrupy mouthfeel. Plenty of roasted/chocolate malt flavor. Very little hop bitterness. There is bitterness from the roasted malt. Long dry finish of chocolate malt. Warming. Definitely a sipper. At the price, I don’t think it will be a regular. Interesting beer, that RIS fans should try. tuevo (13), Jyväskylä, Finland

Aroma is roasted malty and alcoholic with some coffee and liquorice, too. Taste is very roasted with flavor of liquorice. Taste of alcohol disturbs a bit. Nice coffee in the finish. Very roasted but not too much. Quite easy for Imperial Stout but anyway delicious. BuckeyeBoy (1689), Boise, Idaho, USA
