Commercial Description:
"Double" (imperial) wheat stout.
This imperial really strikes back. From a strange country far, far away, comes the only Imperial Wheat Stout in the known universe. Once again, the ’Hand’ brewery - four guys brewing in their spare time, on an absurdly small scale - boldly goes where no brewery has gone before.
US version is 9%.

Black with a huge brown head. Nice burnt aroma with notes of dark bread and liquorice. The flavour has loads of raisin, alcohol and roasted malts, but suddenly dies out on a wheaty note.

Bottle from KAggie97, hurricane tamer. You rock dude!; You rock me like a hurricane!;
Pours a beautiful onyx; no light enters this black hole of a beer. Aroma is straight-up, no nonsense roasted chocolate bean, with ribbons of chocolate syrup thrown in for good measure. Nice coffee background gives the beer a nice finishing touch aroma-wise. Flavor is a bit off; bitter baking chocolate and off-center roasted coffee bean combine to form a, well, weird blend of caffeinated chocolate malt netherland. Finishes with a sour, almost brackish coffee chocolate with a blend of expired cherries. Mouthfeel is only slightly above average. Wheat has no place in a stout, if this is the barometer to measure such an effort by.

bottle, pours dark oily pitch black, gigantic brown head, roasted grains, coffee, charchoal, wooden fire put out by water, grill coal aroma. flavor is roasted and burnt wood and charcoal, roasted grains, faint licorice, flavors so strong they hide alc, but alc, can be sensed. afraid i have to admit that this one is too roasted for me. if there was more chocolate, more alc, more something else, it could’ve been truly great. if you like roasted go for it. most roasted/burnt flavor i ever tasted in a beer.

Bottle. Roasted aroma with a hint of smoked or burned wood. Black color with a brown head. Sweet roasted body with a burned caramel note. Light bitter palate. Not bad.

Black, lightly lacing espresso head. Alcoholic, burned aroma, some cranberry and juniper. Flavor is more traditional; little chocolate, coffee, burned malts. Wheaty sourness in the woody finish. Medium to full bodied, coarse carbonation. A bit homebrew like, alcoholic Impy.

1 Pint Bottle. This beer is insane. Pours like used motor oil and the carbonation is scary powerful. The head does not pile on nicely as much as it erupts out of the glass and then disappears. The beer is so dark the head is probably as close to black as a beer can get. Aroma is not too strong in any flavors- maybe alcohol cloaked with some dark fruits and candy. Body is incredible- anything more than a small sip will have you rolling. Very creamy. Lots of coffee, malt, and molasses. Aftertaste is very dry and reminiscent of dark chocolate. Overall superb though I’m not sure where the wheat comes into play.

An imperial stout. But what’s with the "wheat" label? I’m trying to get the taste that makes this different from other imperials....slight wheat finish. Not enough chocolate. Not exactly as great as I hoped it would be.
