| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 18, 2008 Pours a nice dark black with a medium sized short lived tan head. Smell is roasty malt, but somehow lighter than most from the wheat. Some caramel sweetness and a hint of smokiness as it warms. Taste is quite bitter and hoppy for an imperial stout. Fairly ashy and roasty with some bitter sweet caramel. Slightly rich body and a bit of bubbly carbonation. This grew on me as I drank it, and ended up being a very solid, somewhat unique beer. Definitely worth a try. doppelmeup (51), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 16, 2008 Exceptional looking pour with a very thick, long lasting creamy brown head that never went a way and laced the glass all the way down. Pitch black.
Full bodied and very flavorful without over-top-bitterness. Alcohol very well hidden. The wheat must make it slightly softer and smoother than typical RISs.
Highly recommended! Defreni (1023), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 14, 2008 Flaske.

Not sure where the wheat aspect of this is found, because if its in there, the stout roast and body drowns it out. Pretty good, but nothing stood out to ever make me go out and buy this.
