| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 24, 2008 Black pour with a creamy tan head. Interesting unique aroma. Dark fruit, fig, licorice, and roast notes. Alcohol is well hidden. A little heavy on the licorice for my tastes. Not a favorite, but not bad by any means. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 24, 2008 Wow. Really a great brew. Pours a deep, dark, cloudy, (is that even possible?) black that lets no light through whatsoever. A small creamy tan head forms that sticks around throughout the glass and provides nice lace. Great aromas coming through of roasted malt and coffee, molasses, dried fruits and grains. Thick and creamy in the mouth. All of the aromas come through in the flavor, and then some. Some yeast and grain in the finish, which really puts this impy stout over the edge for me. Fantastic. DrFunk (80), Sorumsand, Norway

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 21, 2008 Shit this was good. I drank it quite some time ago, but recall it being delicious. The aroma was very strong of wheat and malts, but not sweet. Color was nice/cloudy with a decent white head. I recall the flavor being very strong/assertive. I need to spare eight dollars for another bottle and re-rate. I do know i loved it though!~! BMan1113VR (2943), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA

Pours with a huge, creamy, dark brown head covering a dark black body. Thick pour. Great retention and decent lacing. Aroma of flowers, chocolate, nail polish, some dark fruits and toffee. Taste is very chocolatey up front with a bitt more coffee and bitterness towards the back (also a very slight metallic note). Very yeasty aftertaste. Thick mouthfeel. kiefdog (1637), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 18, 2008 50cl bottle from Habersham Liquors (Savannah, GA). Pours a dark brown to black with a thick, frothy dark brown head. that settles relatively slowly and provides ample lacing. Aroma is intense with notes of strong, sweet malt, ripe, dark fruit, toffee, and hints of sweet caramel and coffee. Flavor is very malty and strongly of coffee with more subtle notes of dark chocolate, grain, and just a slight twinge of wheat on the finish. This is a full-bodied stout with a lingering sweet coffee finish.
