This bottle was from Europe, different black and white label as opposed to the U.S. version. The pour was ultra dark brown with lots of black and very little else. A three finger head that was super dark tan or light brown in color formed. Spots of lacing. The aroma was chocolate, light smoke, sugary sweetness that reminded me marshmallow creme. This thing smelled like s’mores! The flavor is chocolate, marshmallow, smoke, tart cherry, light spicy hops. The mouthfeel was the only dissappointing aspect of this beer. It was on the thin side and the carbonation was overly active. Thanks again! hranurminen (1), Finland does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 25, 2008 Bein not really a ffiend of wheat beers, this one was a great shot. smoky but full flavour, thickness of a stout miexed with aroma of a wheat beer, I was expecting it to be more hoppy. mjs (1559), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 24, 2008 (From old notes, bottle on 2008-01-12) Beatiful head. The wheat malts used balance the taste which balance the slightly burnt taste. The hops are there and are quite ok but their taste could open up more. MatSciGuy (641), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 23, 2008 [bottle] Poured a not quite fully opaque black. Could see through it toward the edges. Decent sized dark brown head that diminishes quickly. Aroma is quite sweet, with some candi sugar. Flavor is caramel malt, with some wheat. Finishes dry. blipp (1771), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 20, 2008 (Batch 90) Pours almost black with a brown head and quite a bit of sediment. Aroma is roasted malt, burnt almost, coffee beans, maybe fig of some type of fruit, and a hint of alcohol. Body is thin for an imperial stout but not awful. Flavor is heavy roasted malt, coffee beans, fruit, slightly nutty, and even a hint of hops in the finish. Nice, but doesn’t really leave much of an impression. alexsdad06 (1138), Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 20, 2008 50 cl bottle. Pours black with a med/large foamy tan head. The aroma is roasted malts, dark chocolate, slightly burnt, and a touch grassy. The flavor is more roasted malts, some alcohol, dark fruits, light baker’s chocolate, and some vinous character. This is a little thinner than most Imperial stouts, but good. masto (77), Helsinki, Finland
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 5/5 | 10/20 | Apr 19, 2008 Black, awesome dark head. Burned, sour cocoa aroma. I’m usually a fan of sour beers, but this one is sour with insane amounts of burned color malt. Not complex, but awesome creamy, full body. Coffee finish. merlin48 (522), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 18, 2008 This imperial wheat stout pours dark and inky into the glass with a tall khaki head. Aroma is nutty with some fruity esters and soft cocoa. Medium body is not at all full, with satiny carbonation. Taste is nutty and wheaty with interesting fruit esters. Soft cocoa tones are the only suggestion of dark roasty character. Interesting stout that is quite enjoyable.
