| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 10, 2007 Bottle: Pours a dark brown with a modest, creamy tan head. Light lacing. Nose is mild with roasty malt and coffee. Tastes roasty with coffee, just like the aroma. No real sweetness here, but the wheat mellows it out a bit. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Bottle: Dark black color, light tan head and a touch of lacing. The nose is astringent with some licorice, sharp coffee grounds and some strong alcohol. Earthy strong roast and alcohol, extreme! The flavor is sharp and bitter, decent body though. I like the sharpness and finish. Extreme! Thanks Jake! IndianaRed (1562), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Bottle pours a black with huge dark tan head. Dark roasted chared smokey aroma. Dark roasted flavor with some molassas. Not much residual sweetness. Slightly thin but soft smooth feel. Soft carbonation after most of it came out in a gentle pour. Gachupines (295), USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Black color with a dark tan head. Slight roasted aroma. Flavor is roasted with a hop backbone. The wheat isn’t too apparent within the strong imperial stout flavors. Alcohol is detectable but not overpowering. Overall, a strong imperial stout, but not one of the best and not as unique as the description would lead one to believe. DeweyDell (157), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 9, 2007 500 mL bottle. Pours dark brown-black with a mountainous tan-colored head that lasts quite a long time. Aroma has some of the same elements as a traditional wheat beer... I wouldn’t have recognized the smell as wheat, but given the similarities that must be what it is. Also has aromas of malt, dark fruit, chocolate, wood, and (light) smoke. Complex. Flavor is big dark chocolate with a lingering coffee/hop bitterness. Not as unique as you would expect from the aroma, but tasty. If there is anything bad to say about this beer, it’s that the finish is a little watery. But all around, it’s a fantastic brew. KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Smell of coffee, pine, chocolate, hops, caramel, malt, berries, smoke and bread. Taste of roasted coffee, bakers chocolate, pine, grass, malt, light caramel, smoke, hops and dark fruit. More roasted coffee flavor in the aftertaste. Decent stout but not that full of flavor. thornecb (1812), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
