Commercial Description:
"Double" (imperial) wheat stout.
This imperial really strikes back. From a strange country far, far away, comes the only Imperial Wheat Stout in the known universe. Once again, the ’Hand’ brewery - four guys brewing in their spare time, on an absurdly small scale - boldly goes where no brewery has gone before.
US version is 9%.

50 cl bottle. Pours deep black with a medium brown head. Aroma og strong coffe, chocolate and a hint of vanilla. Flavor is a complex combination of the above and its smooth to drink and very enjoyable with some though mature cheeses.

Batch 93?? Vintage 07: Black pour with brown hue. Fat,creamy, head. Loose carbonation. Complex, little subdued(age),but lovely, vinous, aroma of dark fruit, wood, light roast, chocolate(malted milk balls),and roast..No hint of oxidation. Super creamy, lightly fizzy, yet still suitable for the style. Woody, lightly roasty, and sweet up front. Dark fruit, chocolate, light ash folllow. Finish is clean-grainy,light chocolate, vinious, and perfectly dry. Lingering sweet, woody, vinous finish opens up more and more. Wheat is lightly noticeable, and adds balance to the slick, big flavor. Also, this beer has big dark fruit, wood flavors that are blended perfectly. Delicious and elegant! Love to try fresh bottle, but this will do anyday.

Pours black with a minimal tan head that quickly dissipates. Notes of coffee and chocolate, but the wheat gives a taste of bread and a dry finish. Overall this is an excellent brew that defies typical stout style guides.

Sampled at DØE Beerfestival 2007, Valby. Pours black beer with a lasting light brown head. The aroma is chocolate, licorice with fruit and flowers. The flavor is roasted malt and slight notes of wheat. The palate is dry with tart and roasted aftertaste. Overall a nice Imperial Stout.

Brewed in Norway........ Pours a very dark brown almost black in color with a dissipating beige head. The aroma is of dark malts, milk chocolate, dark berries and wheat. Taste is very similar to the aroma but i might add some wood and coffee notes. The mouthfeel is very rich in body, nice carbonation, and there is a slightly bitter finish to this imperial stout. Overall, pretty good stuff and i think Darth Vader would take kindly to this brew !!!! :)

Bottle. Pours black hole black with a 2 finger light brown head. The nose is roasted malt, dark chocolate milk and dark fruit. The taste is burnt malt, ash, powdery cocoa, French roast coffee and some hop bite in the finish. Medium creamy mouthfeel. Pretty good IS.
