| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 1, 2008 Bottle. Moderate malt aroma of caramel, light aromas of orange and broth for the hops and yeast, with hints of white wine, pepper and date. Head is small, frothy, slightly off-white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is murky orange/tan. Flavor starts light to moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and very lightly bitter. Palate is medium to full, oily and has a lively carbonation. It finishes lightly alcoholic. A pretty good beer, just not as hoppy as you’d expect from a DIPA. drfabulous (1275), Columbia, Missouri, USA
