This beer was a nice IPA, that was a bit sweeter than many of its cousins, but still had an adequate bite for an IPA. Tmoney99 (4765), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured a cloudy copper color with a large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sweet Maris Otter aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration.
This is a very drinkable beer and went well with my salami wrap. emacgee (1891), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 20, 2009 Pours a cloudy reddish amber with a one finger frothy yellow head. The nose is citrusy, fruity, mildly sweet, nice malty backbone, some musty character. The flavor has a citrus rind bitterness, sweet malt character, spicy, mild bitter bite, some herbal hops, tastes more like an IPA. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA

Heavy pine hop aroma.
Nicely bitter flavor.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 9, 2009 Cloudy orange amber with minimal head. Smells like gin and juice in a vase with flowers. Tastes less floral, more citrus, caramel, and charred earth. crackedmachine (89), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 6, 2009 Pours amber with a slight head. A somewhat sweet DIPA with a very strong malt backbone and hopping that lends more bitterness than citrus or floral flavors. Alcohol is quite well masked. This is a heavily-hopped IPA that seems to rely most heavily on European-style hops. An interesting change of pace from the piny, citrus West Coast style that is usually my cup of tea. odgaard (263), Skyum, Thisted, Denmark

A little alc too. Taste: The hop taste is not as strong as i remembered. Probably due to the 1½ years since breewing. It is pretty sweet, so it seems a little out of balance. Alc is a little to present to me. NosirIwont (1182), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 30, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange-amber (murky brown if the whole is poured in) with s small off-white/beige head. Sweet, fruity hop aroma. A bit like a bock, but with more a bit more hops. As it warms, the sweetness increases, becoming almost cloying. Flavour is bitter, sweet and fruity. Lots of body, but still somehow a bit thin. Plums. Bit of hops as it warms. Sweet, malty finish with a lingering medium bitterness (slightly liquorice-like) and notes of apple. Bit of hops as it warms here as well. Warming also brings out fruits (plums), and like the aroma it becomes a bit cloying. Overall a decent beer, although nothing special, and it feels more like a bock than an IIPA. Could do with a lot more hops. 01-07-09.
