A little alc too. Taste: The hop taste is not as strong as i remembered. Probably due to the 1½ years since breewing. It is pretty sweet, so it seems a little out of balance. Alc is a little to present to me. NosirIwont (1186), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 30, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange-amber (murky brown if the whole is poured in) with s small off-white/beige head. Sweet, fruity hop aroma. A bit like a bock, but with more a bit more hops. As it warms, the sweetness increases, becoming almost cloying. Flavour is bitter, sweet and fruity. Lots of body, but still somehow a bit thin. Plums. Bit of hops as it warms. Sweet, malty finish with a lingering medium bitterness (slightly liquorice-like) and notes of apple. Bit of hops as it warms here as well. Warming also brings out fruits (plums), and like the aroma it becomes a bit cloying. Overall a decent beer, although nothing special, and it feels more like a bock than an IIPA. Could do with a lot more hops. 01-07-09. Stefano (1345), Esbjerg, Denmark

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 25, 2009 This is the dobbel dram version 500ml bottle. Possibly this one is a little passed it’s prime since the hops are pretty muted in the aroma and flavor. There is a nice creamy texture, malty beer in there anyways so it is still enjoyable. The hops that I am getting in the aroma are mostly pine. A little bit of citrus on the finish. There are the grassy hay english style hops hiding in there as well mid palate. Not sure how to get a fresh bottle of this since I’m a million miles away from the brewery but would enjoy having a shot at one since I think there is some real potential here to rival some of the better american doubles. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 22, 2009 A good ipa. Loads of hops in the aroma, with lots of dry grass and some earth. Thick on the palate, with medium sweetness and lots of bitter hops. Not quite balanced, with the hops being more prominent. The high abv is well hidden. nearbeer (1878), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 17, 2009 500ml Doppel Dram version, batch 150 brewed 05 04 08. Hazy orange copper with a lasting disc of creamy bubbles. Nose of caramel, orange, pineapple, toffee and faint alcohol. Flavors of pineapple-orange hard candy and caramel are balanced by a finish of peppery wood, herbs and alcohol. Medium body is almost sticky, smooth and lightly carbonated but hop-tingly, and dry enough on the finish. Nice blending of the European and American styles. gunnar (594), Sandnes, Norway
