The aroma is floral, sweet, hops, and kind of green. The flavor is founded with sweetness, a touch refreshing with some wheat malt, and solidly hop oriented, but in a tasteful way. The palate is smooth yet lively and cleansing. Overall, quite nice. I could drink this all day. Beerdedone (1888), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 9, 2009 Bottle labeled dobbel dram batch 150. Pours a hazy dark amber/orange with a small off-white head that left fair lacing. Aroma was hoppy with pine, grapefruit, oranges, citrus and some caramel. Flavor was caramel malts, orange zest, citrus, grapefruit and some floral and piney hops with a medium-plus body and has a slightly dry and bitter finish. decent brew hapjydeuce (774), Del Mar, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 7, 2009 Bottle from the Pizza Port Bottle Shop, shared with Katie. Not too bad for a Norwegian DIPA, I can say I expected worse. Living on the West Coast has gotten me all kinds of spoiled on the bitter shit. Slightly hazy golden color with a nice creamy off-white head for the first few minutes. Sweet, floral aroma of hops, much less aggressive than an American counterpart. Flavor leans sweet and malty, with an understated hops use. Some citrus keeps the bite up, but overall seems to be too sweet. Finish is exciting for 2 seconds, then bitterness quickly fades. Not really your typical palate-pounder, which I pursue in this style of beer. Not bad, though. Rciesla (3880), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 7, 2009 Bottle. Pours a golden amber body with an off white lacing. Sweet malty with a nice hoppy body of grapefruit and citrus. Grassy earth y caramel malts pine and over ripe fruits. Not a bad IIPA but i’d enjoy more hops to enrich the flavor profile. altonbrownd (1966), Amsterdam, Netherlands

Golden body (although I drank straight from the bottle) with big head. Lots of hops in the flavour. As well as fruits. Nice grapefruit flavours too. Enjoyable. jtw (944), farmington, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 17, 2009 wow, sticky oily hops ooze out of this one from the moment the cap is popped. american hops abound, with double IPA alcohol and huge pale malt aromas. glowing amber color with a light beige head, overall an attractive beer which is helped by the aggressive aroma. flavor is bready and hoppy, with some alcohol heat. green and grassy hops dominate, with a medium sweet finish despite the strong hops. a solid IIPA but won’t knock your socks off, especially not for the price. hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 14, 2009 Bottle… mgumby10’s & hopscotch’s WtFFfFDotF Throwdown … Murky golden ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. Earthy hops, pale grains and crystal malt stand out in the nose, but there’s a pleasant tropical fruit presence as well. Full-bodied with moderate carbonation. Pretty good balance. It’s sweet up front; but well-bittered on the backside. Leans only a whisker toward the sweet side of balance. Like the aroma, the flavor imparts subtle tropical fruit notes – coconut and pineapple. Fruity, sweet, minerally finish. Thanks to mgumby10 for providing the bottle! JohnnyJ (1353), Carlsbad, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 8, 2009 Pours a dark amber color. Well balanced IIPA. Decent amount of malt to back up the hops. Caramel, biscuits, citrus, grafefruit, fruit, sweet malt, and grass. Not a huge beer, but well done.
