Beer_2000 (1179), Kristiansand, Norway Jun 22, 2008 500ml bottle. Cloudy/muddy reddish orange body with a small, fast disappearing off-white head. Aroma is malty with plenty of hops, citrus fruity and a hint of alcohol. Flavor is sweet malty balanced with a lot of bitterness. A delicious variation from tons of American hop flavored double IPA’s. Balanced body and long bitter finish.
Maria (3975), Thisted, Denmark Aug 25, 2008 Slightly hazy, dark orange with a huge, nice and creamy head. The aroma is hoppy, fruity, and it has a lot of caramel and a little resin. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of caramel, fruity hops, resin and citrus. It’s a nice IPA with mellow caramel and a bitterness that is OK, but a bit stronger would have been OK too. hopdog (4552), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 20, 2008 Bottle. Batch 153, brewed on 17.04.08 and BB 17.04.11. Poured a medium and cloudy orangish color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of grapefruits, floral hops, pine, and some caramel. Tastes of caramel, sweet oranges, pine, and fruity. On the sweeter side of the balance scale. thewolf (3607), Kolding, Denmark Aug 14, 2008 Bottle, bought @ Kvickly, Sønderborg. atch 108
Pours a beautiful, clear orange with a fine, frothy, off-white head. Medium duration. Aroma has lots of fruity, fat hops, some apples and grapefruit. A good degree of caramel behind it. Low carbonation, fine creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is limited sweet, lots of hops flavour, but lacking a slight bit in actual bitterness. A good long, lingering hoppy finish with grapefruit, pine and herbal notes. Good beer, but many better IIPA’s. stouby (1447), Holbaek, Denmark Aug 10, 2008 Bottle at home.
Hazy orange with a small white head, quickly gone. Aroma moderate malty (caramel(), moderate/heavy hoppy (grassy). Flavor moderate sweet, moderate/heavy bitter. Medium body. fb (49), Norway Aug 7, 2008 Bottle 50 cl, batch 123. One of the few beers from Haandbryggeriet that is not too fizzy! I like this this one, and will be happy to try it again.
