Love the european hopstyle

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 14, 2009 Wow this is a good IPA. I may prefer this to Mikkellers Stateside? Could be fun to have them side by side.
It is a bit hazy, but beautiful orangelike colour.
Nose is good IPA, just as it is supposed to be.
Very very creamy. More creamy than Stateside.
One of my favorit beers. Bullit (1392), Glasgow, Scotland

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 15, 2008 Rating #3100. Dark, cloudy copper color with a thick head. The aroma starts with a strong citrus hop, then changes to caramel malt and more of a grassy hop. Almost chewy malt flavor. Lots of caramel, a little toast, and a very little biscut. If there’s any hop flavor, it’s pine and earth. Fairly strong bitterness, but not obviously hoppy. Excellent balance. Wow... totally does not taste like 9% alcohol. I wish this was cheaper than $10 a bottle, but that won’t affect the rating. Excellent brew. chimplechamp (465), Oslo, Norway
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 11, 2009 bottle from vinmonopolet. jesus god, I havent had a decent 9% beer in ages. It makes me want to cry. The nose is like an old friend whom I have missed and haven’t seen in years. Honey, herbs, white pepper. Resinous hops. OHhhhh. I’ve missed good beer. I wish norway could replace all of there shitty ’fri’ beer and replace it all with decent drinkable stuff. Europeans talk about American breweries making water beer that is mass produced and drunk by the public, but god damnit, we don’t have half an isle of vorterøl. thats for godamn sure. Mouthfeel is sticky like cotton candy. taste is tropical. piney. pineapple. it tickles my tongue. I feel like my senses are sharper from drinking so much piss water pilsner. White pepper in the finish. This is gorgeous. absolutely gorgeous. if you think otherwise you my friend are spoiled. tarjei (1755), Bryne, Norway

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 19, 2008 Bottle from Capone’s, called Double Dram for the American market. Pours turbid orangy coppery with 3-finger off-white head and great lacing. Nose is heavy mango, black pepper, caramel malt, hopcitrus, spicy florals, and yeasty esters. Tastes dry, very hoppy, with floral, spicy, slight funky, with mango, melon, and tangerine notes. Rich, complex palate. As with all Haand beers I have quaffed, this one is great. corby112 (763), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Pours a cloudy dark amber/orange color with golden orange hues when held to a light source and a massive 3 finger off-white head with excellent retention, only slowly settling into a lasting cap that leaves sheets of soapy lacing behind. This looks great!
Floral citrus hop aroma with hints of grapefruit, orange and lemon peel, mango and dry earthy pine and subtle caramel and biscuit malt.
Chewy resinous body with a huge bitter floral hop presence up front. Lots of sweet citrus balancing out the earthy dry pine presence with hints of grapefruit, mango and orange peel. Caramel malt backbone is a little stronger than I like but provides decent balance. Crisp dry finish. Very good.
