Murky brown colour with a big, but fast disappearing tan head. Wheaty sweet aroma with a dark fruit sweetness. Sweet malty flavor with a light roasted note, and hints of chocolate and caramel.

Big, tan, coarse-laced head which quickly subsides. Body is dark brown-red, nearly opaque. Carbonation keeps going on. If you pour in the yeast sediment you can enjoy watching yeast balls sinking, then getting caught by bubble streamers and being carried up, then being dropped at the top and starting over. (Or not, if you find yeast unappetizing. :) Aroma is yeasty, sweet, peppery, with lots of roastiness. Taste is huge, roasty, and sweet, with an aftertaste of coffee. Very good! This is a great dunkelweizen, though the weizenness of it is not exactly obvious. It’s more like a cross with a stout, really. (0.5l bottle.)

Re-rating. Less carbonation makes a much better beer, though it is still on the fizzy side. Available at Beer Palace, Oslo.

Bottle. I thought this was pretty good. Better than their regular weizen. Some chocolate and caramel, with some yeasty banana esters, clove as usual, refreshing, slightly tart character.

RBESG05: High carb brown with a beige head. Sweet though a little bland. Some flavours of fruity banana there and a touch of caramel. Overall a little thin though.

Bottled at RBESG. Very muddy pale brown. Banana aroma. Sweet and roasty with some caramel. Dryish lightly salty finish. Pleasant, unusally refreshing dunkelweizen.

(Bottle 50 cl) Very unclear brown with a small, off-white head. Lots of yeast in the aroma. Very malty and full-bodied, soft and delicate. Nice all right, 120805
