| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Mar 7, 2009 Bottle and served in NB worthy glassware: Murky brown hue with a small but lasting beige head which left good lacework upon the glass. There is a off putting chemical and bile part of the aroma which really makes smelling this brew a chore. There is some oak, lacto, acidic notes on the nose too. The taste is more of then same, a distracting chemical and putrid characteristic that just does not belong. Sour cherry, vinegar, wood, musty malts and mineral water flavors around the messy main component. The mouth feel is dry and thin bodied, more mineral and oaky. Perhaps a bad bottle but not too sure after reading some other comments. For now I will call it like I see it, this is a absolute disaster. I can not finish this, disappointing drain pour from someone who likes sour brown ales. dmac (1504), Toms River, New Jersey, USA

Poured a murky brown with slight red tint and average size bubbly light beige head. Aroma is very sour and tart with notes of wood, cherries and some plastic modeling glue. Flavor was sour with notes of wood, cherry and just nice and funky. Very enjoyable and nice. rustychiles (1068), Mesa, Arizona, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 2, 2009 Bottle @ Redlight, courtesy of RedlightRedlight. Semi-opaque brown-red. Dark and almost murky. Barrel-dwelling organism aromas. Very rich, sour Flemish ale aromas. Thick palate with soft carbonation. Acetic acid is pungent and slightly putrid, but not in a bad way. The acidity is fun for those who like that sort of thing.
