Smells of tart fruits, berries, a litle vinegar, and strawberry. Definitely smelled pretty tannic and sour. The flavor has a big kick to it. Sour fruits, oak, and tannins all combine to formulate the base of this sour ale. Good carbonation to it, so important for a sour. The oak was very pertinent in the finish, leaving it semi-dry and full flavored. Very tasty little sour ale, id drink it again. GAManiac (1170), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Pours a hazy reddish brown with a small tan head that dissipated slowly and left very good lacing.
The aroma is mostly tart, acidic fruits, cherries especially with a healthy dose of barnyard funk and vinegar thrown in.
The taste is actually a little more balanced. There is the acidic fruit and vinegar funk, but the fruit definitely has a sweeter character in the taste. Maybe even some brown sugar before the finish comes back dry and sour with lots of wood.
The mouthfeel is dry and woody, very wine-like, with a decent amount of carbonation.
The balance of the sweetness in the taste makes this one more drinkable than many of the lambics I’ve tasted. Tasty. Capa (978), Yokosuka, Japan
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 26, 2009 Deep rudy red with a pink/beige head. Strong cherry, plum, dark fruit, vinegar, must, and wood. Dry body. Very sour. Vinegar, dark fruit, tart cherry, dark fruit, earthy, and oak. Very enjoyable. Sour and delicious. It does get a bit hard to drink at the end due to the dry sourness, though. kiefdog (1605), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Dark mahogany with very quickly diminishing head. Smell of dark vinegar and lime. Taste will knock you over! Powerful sour notes, vinegar, lemon, a hint of sourdough, slightly bitter. Palate is light with a medium finish and low carbonation. This thing has a serious kick. Good for the style, but cant imagine drinking more than half a bottle. Seems like its meant for food, would be great with bread. NoiZe (1325), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands

Pours a beautiful and thick amber/mahogany with an aroma of heavenly sweet cherry Luden’s and raspberry syrup. Nice, healthy head of beige sits atop this beautiful concoction. Flavor falls a tad short of the expectations set by the aroma, but it still packs quite a sour punch to the taste buds with jabs of sweet and sour cherry, cedar, and finish of sweet grapefruit. Nice, tingly mouthfeel. Great sour. gunhaver (1025), Tampa, Florida, USA

Burns the nose, very smooth and medium-bodied, extremely drinkable, complex, and very well-made.
