| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Dark mahogany with very quickly diminishing head. Smell of dark vinegar and lime. Taste will knock you over! Powerful sour notes, vinegar, lemon, a hint of sourdough, slightly bitter. Palate is light with a medium finish and low carbonation. This thing has a serious kick. Good for the style, but cant imagine drinking more than half a bottle. Seems like its meant for food, would be great with bread. NoiZe (1372), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 22, 2009 Bottle from a homeless crack addict. Thanks, homeless crack addict! Pours a beautiful and thick amber/mahogany with an aroma of heavenly sweet cherry Luden’s and raspberry syrup. Nice, healthy head of beige sits atop this beautiful concoction. Flavor falls a tad short of the expectations set by the aroma, but it still packs quite a sour punch to the taste buds with jabs of sweet and sour cherry, cedar, and finish of sweet grapefruit. Nice, tingly mouthfeel. Great sour. gunhaver (1043), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 21, 2009 Bottle. Pours a reddish brown color, with a fizzy white dissipating head. Minimal wet lacing. Nose is big tart cherries, with apples, some licorice, slight alcohol, caramel and huge on oak. Very tart flavors, huge oaky, vanilla, dry fruit, citrus, with a nice chocolate finish. Burns the nose, very smooth and medium-bodied, extremely drinkable, complex, and very well-made. markwise (1187), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 21, 2009 Thanks group for the share. Pours a hazy red-brown with nose of sugary sour cherry, oak- comes out in woody earthiness, funk, and slight cobweb. Flavor is very similar with lingering vinegary tartness and an astringent quality. Finishes dry with lingering cherry and vinegar. I like it it for a sour. watson1977 (276), , Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 21, 2009 color is a deep ruby with brown hues and has a nice light reddish brown head on it that retains well enough...lacing is nice. very aromatic beer...you can smell it from 5 feet away. smells distinctly tart and sour with winelike qualities and a faint vanilla (good call jeff). i picked up the rhubarb but only after reading the bottle. flavor is of sour cherries. it tastes like a thin sherry with slight tartness followed by mild oak. mouthfeel is a bit thin and finishes abruptly with dry oakiness. jeff789 (411), Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 20, 2009 Pours a deep deep hazy brown with a sustained tan head that can be restored by a bit of aggitation... Aroma is sligjhtly vinegary, with notes of vanilla, bourbon, sour cherries, and chocolate... Taste is initially and only quickly astringent and medicinal. It is wildly complex though not overwhelmingly redeeming after the initial astringency. I cant pinpoint many of the individual flavors and they dont necessarily excite me... Finish is medium bodied that doesnt sustain and the flavors fade very quickly... Very very interesting and complex, but this is not the exciting sour i was expecting, still it is quite good... topherh (936), Kearney, Missouri, USA
