pepsican (791), the beer wastelands of, Iowa, USA Sep 29, 2008 I had no idea this existed but tytoanderso decided to send me this. Awesome man! Poured a dark cola brown with a small tan head. Aroma was bright cherry, acidic funk, and some oak. Flavor was similar with a great bit of acidity in the finish. Almost deserty for a sour but still had plenty of punch. Thanks a bunch Tyler!
MatSciGuy (390), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Jan 4, 2009 [Bottle] Pours a cloudy brown with a smallish tan head. Aroma is fantastic and complex with cherries, funk, some caramel, and vinegar. Flavor is cherries, balsamic vinegar, maybe a hint of juniper, and quite a bit of tartness. This is really a fantastic sour. Steeped with complexity, and I feel like this would age well. DragonStout (1247), Orlando, Florida, USA Jan 3, 2009 Shared with DarkGuardian. Not a big fan of sours but I did enjoy this one.Lots of vinous cherries and not overly sour.Wa a bit more tart than sour. Not too bad.I would like to revisit this again. zathrus13 (1141), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA Jan 1, 2009 Pours brownish, with a tan head. Aroma is cherries, funk, oak, and strawberries. Flavor is tart cherries, strawberries, and funk, with a acetic ending. This is very good and surprisingly drinkable. drfabulous (860), Columbia, Missouri, USA Dec 31, 2008 Nice. Tons of cherry and sour in this brown sour ale. Bought for a sour tasting I wanted to hold, but no one seemed interested in doing with me. Took another sip. Wow. This is exactly the kind of sour ale I love. Full of body and complexity. Tart. Lots of fruit. bb (2320), Martinez, California, USA Dec 31, 2008 Bottle. Mahogony beer with a dark tan head. Sour aroma with berry (mostly cherry) fruitiness. Tart/sour flavor with a nice acetic bite and cherries. Medium bodied. Refreshing. Tart/sour lingers with malt and some berry.
