Delicous. After a disasterous start that included the bottle oozing onto my lap the beer really calmed down and was a true treat. Nose wasnt much to brag about, it actually reminded me of the smell from a glass of beer afte not finishing the whole thing and cleaning it up in the morning. But the flavor really took off with nice juicy hops alll over and a nice malt backbone that balanced this bad boy out. Dark caramel color on the pour with huge head, probably also from whatever made this bottle gush.

Bottle shared at Glouglouburps roof top tasting. Poured an orangey/amber with a small off white foamy head. Aroma of caramel, honey, toffee and some citrus. Would of liked to see more hops for an IPA brewed in the "US style". Body was a little thin with some light carbonation and a noticabley bitter finish. A weird caramel, citrus mixture dominates the flavor. Poor attempt at an IPA.

(Bottle, Batch NR 77, BB May 2010) Pours a murky dirty orange body with a thick beige head. Aroma of floral garden, herbs, and grapefruit zest. Flavor of raw mouth watering floral hops and herbs. An interesting full bodied IPA.

(Rating #1240)

Brought to Mtl by Larsga, thanks. Cloudy dark orange body with a short-lived off-white head. First glass off the bottle was clear orange and presented a rather boring citrus juice without much else. Poured myself some more later on, got loads of yeast and the beer improved a bit. Some perfumed candies on the nose. Citrus juice, watery caramel and dusty doughy yeast. Mild juicy bitterness. Decent beer, well balanced but somewhat bland. Overall it is rather forgettable, which is a good thing cause I could never remember its name.

My Bottom Line:
Earthy, leafy hoppiness tops the biscuity maltiness, leading to a minty hop bitterness on which yeast is sprinkled. This competent, understated India Pale Ale is geared for those long sessions.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam slowly sinks into the murky beige orange.
-The hops bring some citrus fruit into the mix.
-The carbonation is really docile, helping drinkability a great deal.
-The overall flavor profile is balanced, but that yeast tends to conceal most of those efforts.

Bottle.

Bottle@LCRBM. Floral but not very strong aroma. Hazy, orange/brown color, yellowish irregular head, good lace. Sweet, bitter, floral, grapefruit. Sticky with a dry finish.

Medium yellow head, hazy orange beer. Very nice C-hops, dry, little reminder of glazed cookies. Bitter hops taste, really nothing else, but so clear and straightforward that it is great. Grapefruit flavour and in the end malt cookies. Medium bodied and very slick. Good, straight IPA.
