Commercial Description:
London Porter - has a lot to offer your tastebuds, this porter includes generous amounts of chocolate malts to render a mild roasty flavour but still a nice intensity. In addition we use balanced amounts of crystal malts and flavouring hops for a good fruitiness and aroma. To be served at 9-12 degrees C. Bottle conditioned - unfiltered and unpasteurised, no artificial carbonation. (Not to be confused with the stronger Haandbryggeriet Porter.)

Bottle, pours brownish black with a large tan head. very sprtizy looking. Nose is cola, some smoke, wood, earth, it seems quite faint compared to the taste. The mouthfeel is way to thin and is bitter in the same way that seltzer water is with about the same carbonation. After the upfront smokiness there is nothing left to be desired.

courtesy of Cheeseman. Batch# 211 Pours brown, light mocha head. Aroma is lightly malty, some esters and chocolate. Flavor, thin body, hints of tart fruits, esters, light roast, thin chocolate, dry palate. Definitely has a unique palate mostly dominated by esters, giving the finish a sour like feel.

From Akevitt. Black of course. Tall, dark brown head. Very dry aroma of roasted grain. Flavor has come chocolate and burnt popcorn. Thick palate and full bodied. This is well above average, but a porter can only be so much.

Bottle, batch 164 shared by akevitt. Pours an opaque, dark brown body with a quickly dissapating, light brown head. Aroma of cocoa, dark malts, licorice, and a hint of ash. Flavor is similar. Lightly carbonated with a medium body. Dry finish with a light cocoa aftertaste.

Scandinavian Beer Night. Thanks to Akevitt. Dark brown color with no head. Roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Smoky taste, fading a bit into roasted malt and a dark chocolate. Lovely.
