Commercial Description:
London Porter - has a lot to offer your tastebuds, this porter includes generous amounts of chocolate malts to render a mild roasty flavour but still a nice intensity. In addition we use balanced amounts of crystal malts and flavouring hops for a good fruitiness and aroma. To be served at 9-12 degrees C. Bottle conditioned - unfiltered and unpasteurised, no artificial carbonation. (Not to be confused with the stronger Haandbryggeriet Porter.) Bottle. Batch #211. Pours a medium beige head, pitch black body. Heavy aroma of coffee and dark choclate, som sour tones too. The taste is heavily influenced by coffee, some dark choclate, couldn’t feel any of the fruits. A very distinct sour aftertaste as the beer gets warmer, not too pleasant... not too pleasant at all, dunno if it’s a starting infection. Palate is kinda weird and unbalanced, a bit too much carbonation for the thin body in my opinion - especially combined with the sourness. Makes it feel a bit like charcoal.
