Commercial Description:
London Porter - has a lot to offer your tastebuds, this porter includes generous amounts of chocolate malts to render a mild roasty flavour but still a nice intensity. In addition we use balanced amounts of crystal malts and flavouring hops for a good fruitiness and aroma. To be served at 9-12 degrees C. Bottle conditioned - unfiltered and unpasteurised, no artificial carbonation. (Not to be confused with the stronger Haandbryggeriet Porter.) 0,5lt bottle thanks to KnutAlbert. Black with thin beige head. Neither to sweet nor to bitter. Aromas and taste of caramel, coffee, roasted malt and hints of liquorice.Dry finsh with nice aftertastes. If only it weren’t that light. Nevertheless a very decent beer that I really enjoyed.

Bottle. Pours a deep dark brown close to black colour with a medium light brown creamish rather short lasting head. The aroma is mild with chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruits and some berries. Good mouthfeel though a bit watery for a porter. The flavour is soft with a pleasant roasted maltiness, chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and some smoke. Surprisingly mild finish. Good porter but a bit too watery. Gracias para traerme esta chella señor Noregsmaður Yngvar!

Bottle 0,5 l at Tromsø Ølfestival 15 Aug 07. Pitch black. A brown creamy head that lasted. Aroma of coffee. Flavor dominated by fruit and coffee with a dry aftertaste of coffee. Balanced.

50 cl bottle, batch #101. Almost black with some reddish in it. Small beige head. There´s roasted malt and coffee, but I´m not impressed by the raw mouthfeel and rather thin and watery body. Would probably be better with more alcohol, but then the price would be almost twice as high here in Norway.

From enjoyit via trade. Thank you Svend! The pour was the expected dark brown with a foamy, thick off-white head that had tremendous staying power and provided some lacing. The aroma was mild but included light chocolate, smoke, roasted malt and even some spicy hoppiness. The flavor was pencil shavings, smoke, roasted malt and cedar. Some light chocolate and even a bit of floral hops. Relatively thin mouthfeel for what it was. Interesting beer.

Aroma off roasted / burnt malt, chocolate, coffee, and some yeast/ alcohol. The flavor is mostly burnt malt and roasted coffee with a bitter aftertaste, would have wanted a bit more complexity and mouth feel, but a good (burnt)porter non the less.

500 ml bottle, many thanks to Ole_R ! Batch nr. 58, brewed Nov. 06, BB Nov. 08. ABV is 4.5%. Black colour, reddish brown in the highlights, huge, creamy and lasting brown head. Lovely aroma of chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Nice roasty flavour, notes of roasted / burnt malts and coffee. Fairly dry, medium mouthfeel. Moderately bitter finish.
