Commercial Description:
This beer is our premium X-Mas beer. This beer is full of all the dark malts that we have at hand and display a full and complex malt taste, almost reaching in to the porter style. It has a balanced fruitiness from hops with a good mouth feel and smoothness, and a lingering aftertaste of roasted malts.

Bottle.[Tasting session @ yespr, thanks for a great evening Jesper] Huge thick and light brown head that mostly lasted. Dark mahogany colour. Good display of lacework. Liquorish, light chocolate, light Christmas spice, toasted malt. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet and light bitter flavour. Light bitter malty finish.

0.5 l bottle. Sweetish malty, vinous and berryish aroma with notes of raisins, licorice and rum. Malty, worty, vinous and toffeish flavor with some plastic notes. Thick and viscous mouthfeel.

Bottle 0.5 l (batch #35) at Oluthuone Leskinen, Oulu. Cola like deep red. Small completely disappearing head just after pouring. Smooth very low carb. Fruity and berryish nose, with some roasted maltiness. Flavor has strong liqourice, cold creamy coffee, dark juicy berries, hops and nicely roasted malts. Quite nicely balanced between juicy sweetness and lingering bitterness. Pretty good. Combines features of bitter porter, spicy belgian dubbel and juicy and burnt german doppelbock!

(Bottled) Very dark brown with a small, beige, partly lasting head. Very dried-fruity, rye-puddingy aroma with grainy maltiness. Lots of rye pudding and some dried fruit in the flavor. Medium-bodied, slicky palate with low carbonation. A lighter version of British Old Ales, and not too sweet. Sooo much better than Nissemor.

Bottled. Deep brown colour with mediumsized brown head. Aroma is toffee, malts, slight roast and fruits. Also some mild spicyness. Flavour is leathery, malty, toffeeish and slightly smoked wood also. Quite slimy palate, but otherwise well done brew.

Black colored, little brown head. Extremely rich licorice and chocolate in aroma, roastiness also there with sweetness, strong aroma indeed. Medium bodied. Flavor is also dominated by this licorice and chocolate, still more hops in flavor making it not so sweet than aroma. Aftertaste is still syrupy, plummy and rather sweet and hopped, though still somehow round one.

500ml bottle (Gallows Bird, Espoo, OKT Pikkujoulu) Batch #35. Very dark ruby, almost black. Spicy burnt malty aroma, also a little alcoholic. Sticky malty body , sweet and burnt. Gently alcoholic, quite pleasant to sip, but missing something. Maybe a little ’raw’ in places.
