Sep 7, 2008 Bottled. A very dark deep red beer with a huge bubbly brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of nuts, caramel, malt, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt, prunes, chocolate, nuts, and a slight acidity from the roasted malt. The finish is dry and roasted.

May 29, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Pours an almost opaque, black with an orange hue and a creamy, light brown head. Roasted, lightly vinous aroma with notes of dried fruit. Full body with sweetish, roasted malt, dried fruit and a lightly burned edge. Some vanilla in there too. Quite lovely. 240507

Feb 9, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown and with a creamy tan head. Aroma is spiced and subdued chocolate malty. Flavour is quite spiced with a distinct roasted malt and little chocolate smoothness. Ends with a lingering spice note, somewhat acidic.

Mar 5, 2008 Bottle. Unclear dark brown color with a huge, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, caramel, chocolate, light hoppy, light yeasty, notes of licorice, spicy and light alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft - lively. (230108)

Dec 3, 2007 Bottled. Deep brown colour with mediumsized brown head. Aroma is toffee, malts, slight roast and fruits. Also some mild spicyness. Flavour is leathery, malty, toffeeish and slightly smoked wood also. Quite slimy palate, but otherwise well done brew.
