Commercial Description:
This beer is our new X-mas beer for the coming season. Milder and less powerful roasty taste than Nissefar. More maltiness from the crystal malts and more fruity taste from lots of aroma hops, incl a hard to describe taste from our secret ingredient.

02.01.2009, 0,5l Bottle. Batch 104, Brewed sep. 07, BB sep. 09. The beer is black with no head. The beer is a little flat with noe head. There are also yeast residue in the bottle that dont desolve when i try to mix it. Maybe this have been standing still for to long. Aroma is malty and a little dry. Nice flavor of spice and hops. The beer tastes a lot and there is a nice hoppy aftertaste.

50cl bottle. Batch 104 from Vinmonopolet. It poured a dark black colour with almost no head whatsoever. A rather disappointing start. The aroma is dominated by coffee and roasted malts, but spices and hops is also present. Hints of alcohol and nuts. The flavour is heavy and is also dominated by coffee and roasted malts. Spices are also present as is liqourice, hops, nuts and some alcohol. It has a long and lingering aftertaste. A very nice christmas beer indeed.

Batch 54, cellared for a year. Dark ruby, huge soapy beige head. Acidic christmas appley aroma, christmas spices, maybe a touch of glue. Roasted malty flavor, spices, dry fruits, strong apple, tangy hops, little roasty chocolate and herbs in the finish. Yeast adds more tangy apple and ash. Quite light palate, with soda like carbonation. Strange but drinkable old ale, and even similar to Julmust actually.

Courtesy DaChzMan. Murky dark brown color, light tan head. Odd aroma, smells like stale Pepsi, mild funky caramel, spruce. General mild sweet taste with not much complexity behind it at all. Really mild and a bit boring.

Bottled. A dark red-brown beer with a huge bubbly brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of dusty hops, caramel, nuts, alcohol, pistacio, and marzipan. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of nuts, caramel, dusty hops, roasted malt, and alcohol, leading to a dry finish with notes of molasses. The body is thin inspite of the alcohol note.
