Commercial Description:
Pale Ale - is a pale, refreshing and aromatic beer with a fine malt profile from our English special malts. Generous use of fresh hops renders a zesty and delightful hoppy aroma and flavour. To be served at 8-10 degrees C. Bottle conditioned - unfiltered and unpasteurised, no artificial carbonation. (Not to be confused with the stronger Haandbryggeriet India Pale Ale.) Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Oslo. Golden amber body. With medium head. Nice hoppy and pine nose. Taste of hops and pine. Nice and bitter and dry. Some citrus in the finish. A real quality product. Very good if perhaps a tad homogeneous.

(Bottle, batch 198, on 2009-06-19) Amber and hazy. Small almost white head. Fruitiness and pine in aroma. Medium bodied and quite dry palate with quite high carbonation. Strongly malts, fruitiness, pine, fruitiness and bitterness in taste. Malty and bitter aftertaste.

Bottle@Home. Citrus and light grassy aroma. Light hazy, amber colour, beige irregular head, fair lace. Malty, bitter, well hopped, light grassy, light yeasty. Malty mouth feel, light dry finish. Flavourful, refreshing, bitter but easy going.

Pours amber, small off white head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops with a solid dose caramel malt. Flavour is the same, but the caramel sweetness dominates, and the hops just balances and cleans up in a light bitter finish. This tastes more like an ESB than a pale ale to me. Not a whole lot going on, but refreshing and drinkable. A bit thin, could use more carbonation too.

Bottled (batch 198, brewed 10.12.08, BB 01/2010). Hazy amber color, good beige head. Piney and citrusy-fruity aroma, touch of yeast. Flavor is similar: fruity pineapple, citrus hioppy flavor with pale malty backbone. A bit thin finish. Refreshing summer drink and very nice to find this from Finnish grocery shop.

0.5 l bottle from K-market Länsiväylä, Jyväskylä. Hazy amber color with creamy head. Perfumed, yeasty and hoppy aroma with toffee, tobacco and lemon. Berryish, nutty, toffeish, yeasty and firmly bitter flavor with bitter, tart, yeasty and rubbery finish. Gassy palate. Hop aroma and flavor is lost or masked with yeast.
