tlind2 (560), Helsinki, Finland Mar 31, 2009 500 ml bottle (batch 204). Cloudy orange color, white head. Complex aroma with sour notes, spices and a hint of smoke(??). Somewhat strange flavor with wheaty notes , spices and citric hops. Medium-full body, light carbonation. This one is definitely different, but not that attractive. aphalo (80), Turku, Finland Mar 31, 2009 Batch 204 (bottled 12-2008). Hazy orange/amber, white head. Aroma has lots of yeast, also some citrus, tobacco, spices. Taste is twisted, lots of different spices in it. Some hops come up in the finish. Lalli (149), Helsinki, Finland Mar 27, 2009 Batch 204. Murky orange color. Aroma includes yeast and a hint of tobacco. Flavor is quite malty, with odd spices and hops. Quite sour as well. Not quite as good as i expected. Hezaurus (1), Finland does not count Mar 26, 2009 These apply for Batch 204. Since previous experience about this beer has been very positive I’m extremely disappointed with this batch. espenra (277), Oslo, Norway Feb 28, 2009 50 cl bottle at Olympen Mat og Vinhus (Lompa). No batch info, but 2009 edition. It poured an orange colour with a white foamy head that settled down fast in the glass. The aroma is laden with juniper berries and oak with some hints of malts. The flavour is also dominated by juniper berries with some notes of oak and yeast. It has a short aftertaste. Pinball (2685), Allerød, Denmark Jan 6, 2009 bottle brewed 07 batch 63, best before jan 2009 (that’s now).
pours a murky orange with a gigantic thick offwhite head.
aroma is flowery, grapefruit, soap, strong, spicy.
flavor is strong! well rounded spicyness, licorice, all kinds of spices, bitter orange, faint grapefruit, hops, nice balance from start to finish, quite a spicy beer but the spices are well proportioned.
