Bottle at Chris´s, october 07. Slightly turbid orange/copper with a big, bubbly white head. Strong spicy fruity hops aroma and some yeasty notes. Strong perfumey flowers flavor, dry and flavorfull. Medium moutgfeel, dry but malty at the same time, really balanced with a rewarding dry finnish. Solid, hoppy, bittersweet belgian pale ale.

Rerate, 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger, batch #126. Brewed Jan. 08, BB Jan. 10. ABV is 6%. Cloudy orangey brown colour, big off-white head with an orangey hue. Very nice aroma of spices (cloves and coriander?), citrus (oranges) and hops, notes of oak too. The flavour is sweet and fruity, fairly malty and distinctly spicy, with oak and a hoppy bitterness in the finish. Good beer, will probably mature well. Original rating: 500 ml bottle, batch #28. Very cloudy brownish colour, moderate but lasting off-white head. Pleasant aroma of aromatic hops, hints of cider apples and leather, even some barnyard. Flavour has some malty and brown sugar sweetness, but also a distinct peppery and resinous bitterness. Peppery mouthfeel. Long bitter aftertaste. Will probably improve with age.

500 ml bottle. Puours beutifully orange-brown. Medium head is very creamy. Liquid is hazy orange with shades or brown. Sweet fruits and spices in aroma. Malts are grass-like sweet and slightly roasted. Bitterness increases toward the finish, which is long and well balanced with maltiness and clues of alcohol. This should be driked quite warm, otherwise the alcohole comes through too much. Very enjoyable nutty arromas in the finish also and maybe a bit sourness. Flavors are medium sweet malts and fresh bitteration. Sweet and slick texute, but bitterness makes the finish dryer and sticky. Quite stron carbonation supports the body well and raises up aromas. Overall an excellent beer.

500 ml bottle. Hazy, and dark orange in color. Small white head. Prominent, slightly sweet, peach aroma. Flavour is somewhat bitter with a rich peppery sweet malty soft body. Peach can only be detected in the aroma. Medium bodied. The beer feels thick in the mouth. Aftertaste is dominated by crisp citrusy hop bitterness. Quite refreshing. Except for fact that the beer has a murky appearance this is a great beer.

Bottled. #28, 2006 vintage. Hazy dark orange beer with a medium, beige head. Mild aroma of citric fruits and hops. Flavor is much the same, with some spicyness from the hops. Some yeast and orange-peel notes. Long, mild piney bitterness at the end. I will have to save a bottle for a later occasion, as this one was a little bit too fresh. (6-3-6-3-13-3.1) (060409)

Rerate, 2007 vintage: Unclear, golden pour with some beige head. Hops, pine, citrus, malt and sweetness in the aroma. The flavor is nice and hoppy as well, nicely balanced with a malty sweetness. Full body. Long malty finish with pine and orange to accomplish it. A better brew than the 2006 version, even though the 2006 version matured nicely, and was better after a year of cellaring. Rating: 6-4-7-4-15-3.6. (070430)

Bottle. #124, 2008 vintage. It pours an almost clear, dark golden body under a nice, dense, beige head. Sweetish and slightly roasted nose with nice spices, some alcohol notes, fruityness and a little yeasty touch. Sweet on the palate, full-bodied and warming, with fruityness and a nice spicy touch. Finishes with a fine bitterness. Really pleasant, and well suited for a day in the Easter sun. (081229)

Bottle . Orange / brown colour with a beige head. Flavour is caramel, alcohol, malt, yeast, sweet, hop, citrus. Tasted 2006 and 2007 at the same time. I think 2007 is the better than 2006 . (6-3-6-3-14 (2006)).

Beautiful hazy amber color with red shades; creamy head. Peculiar aroma, that can be found sometimes in the Nordic, a bit perfumy, grassy, or flowers from a grassfield…. The flavor is also a bit original; it’s has an elegant malt line, with a flower touch, maybe honey. Correct bitterness. Right.
