Bottle. Aroma of sweet nutmeg, chocolate and roasted malts. Black body with tan head. Flavor of a nornal porter sweet malt. this one had a roast and chocolate flavor also. Wish would of had thicker texture. Sweetness lingers on the palate.

Bottle from SL. The pour featured a very generous pillowy-rocky head, deep brown-black body, lacing decent all the way down. The aroma was chocolate, light roast, some licorice. The flavor followed, chocolate, licorice, faint metallic notes (but in a decent way, mildly astringent), and light smoke/ash/roast in the finish. Mouthfeel was full for the style, but airy and dry, not sticky sweet, quite dry actually, with that slightly acidic and astringent touch. For a porter, pretty good, but the brown ale-porter range of dark beers have long been leaving me in want of more when done.

From a 500ml bottle purchased at Johns Marketplace in Portland--Poured a greasy thinnish dark brown-black body with some amber hints. Dry and tart with residual chocolate and cherry notes. Malty and roasty. Very very delicious!

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. Batch 51. It poured a black colour with a big head that settles down slowly in the glass. The aroma smells of coffee, roasted malts and chocolate. The flavour is a bit dry and tastes of coffee and dark chocolates. It has a lingering aftertaste.

Bottle: pours a dark black with a dark tan frothy head, aroma of chocolate, coffee and malts, taste is coffee, dry, roasted malts, medium body. Solid brew.

Bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black, moderate tan head. Aroma is chocolate, bit of espresso and a hint of alcohol. Taste is cofee, bit of dark chocolate, roasty, hint of green hops on roasty, dry finish. Moderate carbonation and medium body.

(Norway) Pours a very dark brown color with a wonderful thick tan head. There is a really nice coffee, roasted malt, and smoky aroma !! The taste has a slight bitter flavor with coffee, chocolate, and smoky notes. The mouthfeel is thin for a porter,but still refreshing. :)

Bottle from Sams in Chicago. Pours a dark brown body with a thick and creamy brown head. It leaves a sludgy layer of sediment on the glass and cap. The aroma is cherries, coffee, roasted malts and some fireplace ashes. The taste was a light bitterness, some coffee, and a light finish of some sweet brown sugars. Pretty nice.
