Commercial Description:
This beer is a robust porter with lots of dark malts of various kinds with a smooth taste and a nice fruitiness from the hops and a dryish aftertaste that lingers. 34 IBU's

Opaque black, brown head. Coffee, liquorice, roasted malts and laurel in aroma. Very bitter, little sweetness. Lasting dry and bitter finish. I like porters to be less bitter.

Bottle, batch #69. Quite fizzy. OK, but I think the experience would have been even better with less carbonation.

Bottle. This is a wholehearted attempt at making a strong and powerful porter. Full, rich and complex taste, bitter dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, but the taste does not last that long, and the end is slightly dissappointing after a strong start. My favourite from this brewery - except for the seasonal brews.

A Sim rate (Ølfestival): Dark almost opaque black with a red tinge. Smells tangy and slightly savoury. Tastes like celery salt, red wine and cherry. Alcohol in the finish. Very nice.

Bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki, Svenska Dagar 2006).
Burnt, rich, fruity, sweet coffee - and make it strong! Stays in the mouth for several minutes, which is most welcome. Fans of dark beer will want this one again and again.

Batch 58. Black with a little, but creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, licorice and the flavour is slightly sweet, nicely balanced and smooth. it has notes of roasted malt, licorice, coffee and some chocolate and a light bitterness. A really OK porter with charm. 1973
