Bottle, 4.5%, batch#102. Roasted aroma, farty fruitiness, hint of raw liquorice. Hazy dark red colour. Small frothy light brown head. The flavour is quite roasted, hint of fruit. Thin mouthfeel. Dry roasted finish with raw liquorice aftertaste.

A Mes rate: Bottle at the Oi Oi Saveloy tasting at Chris O’s.
Mid brown with a thin off white head. Sweet and fruity with some pleasant yeast and malt. Loads of berries actually. Very earthy. Not their best.

Bottle #102 sampled at BDR’s tasting and another beer shared by akevitt. Pours a semi-clear brownish amber brew with a thick off-white head that quickly disappears to a fine film and ring top. Aroma of roasted dark malt, some barnyard funk, Colby cheese, and some herbal spice. Taste is slightly sour, some carbonation with flavors of sour milk, caramel malt, and some tart citrus zest. Finish is a tad flat, metallic with a mild bitterness and roasted caramel malt flavor. It’s different compared most their other beers.
