Unclear medium amber orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity - spicy, caramel notes, moderate hoppy, grapefruit, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (170808) plovmand (1725), Helsinge, Denmark
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2008 Bottle. This pours hazy orange golden with a creamy white head. Fruity and spicy aroma from what I would guess is Belgian yeast. Notes of banana, peach, orange and caramel. Body is medium. Flavour is fruity and very spicy with some sweet spicy finish. Bit too carbonated. Papsoe (15103), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 11, 2008 Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Pours a very cloudy - almost muddy - deep orangey golden with an off-white head. Sweetish aroma of fruit and a distinct yeastiness. Medium body with sweetish caramel and fruit, again with loads of yeast and a distinct bitterness. Appears like some sort of Belgo-American Pale Ale hybrid. And not a particularly great one. 180808 Sigmund (2293), Hafrsfjord, Norway
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 30, 2008 500 ml bottle, batch #130, at Parkteatret’s "Beer Day", Oslo. ABV is 6.0%. There are rumours that this really is the very same beer as HaandBryggeriet Påskegodt, but I find that hard to believe - Sen Sommer Ale is sweeter than I remember Påskegodt to have ever been. A side-by-side tasting is needed to settle that question, methinks. Hazy amber to orange colour, moderate head. Lovely aroma of fruity hops. Sweet flavour (slightly too much sweetness) with plenty of fruity hops. Moderately bitter finish. Gr0ve (1409), Oslo, Norway
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 27, 2008 500 ml bottle. Amber colour. Hazy. Small coarse white head. Crisp carbonated malt aroma. Rich malty flavours, but a bit too high carbonation level ruins most of the malty flavours. Quite chewy and nice. The wheat is not really that obvious, but can be found in the background. Overall a nice drinkable beer, but could do with less carbonation. EHSRanders (1120), Randers C, Denmark

It poured a golden colour with a big white head that settled down fast in the glass. It has a fruity aroma that smells of malts and wheat. The flavour is fruity and tastes of hops and apples. It has a short aftertaste.
