Jul 29, 2008 Bottle, as Trippels Dubbel Christmas Edition. Pours a clear, golden to copper body with a minimal off-white head. Notes of cooked vegetables in the aroma, else it’s roasted malt, dried fruits and caramel. The flavor is much the same, but the alcohol is detected, but not being annoying. Medium body. A quite nice beer, but not spot on. (080620)

Jul 16, 2008 Bottle. Creamy off-white almost yellow head! Dark red-amber wonderfull colour. Moderate malty and hoppy perfectly balanced aroma. Lots of fruity notes. Mderate bitter flavor.Long spicey and fruity finish. Creamy palate. Great stuff.

Pours deep dark red brown with a fizzy head that ends up a a very thin creamy film. Wonderful ’dark’ aroma, lots of raisins, plums, caramel and chocolate. High carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is wonderfully dry at first, lots of spices, raisins, banana, viniousness. Slightly sticky sweet, but the wonderfully balanced spices help a lot. Nice chocolate finish.
