(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a slightly cloudy amber golden with a small, beige head. Plenty of caramel and overripe fruit in the aroma - almost Sherry-like. Quite full-bodied with plenty of fruit - overripe in particular - and again rounded, mature Sherry accents. Very subdued bitterness. Awesome! 290308

Fruity aroma of caramel, yeast, rye bread and spices.
Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel and yeast with notes of rye bread, spices and hops.
Yeasty and hoppy finish.

Aug 31, 2008 Bottle. [Papsoe tasting 31-08-2008, thanks buddy] Small fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Cloudy amber color. Aroma of mild toasted malt, nutty, grainy, hint of fruit. Over the palate came walnuts, hint of hops. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor. Lingering nutty sweet malty finish.

Aug 5, 2008 Bottle as Trippels Dubbel Christmas Edition. Copper colour with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, dried fruits. Flavour is sweet, caramel, alcohol, roasted malt. A little bit ordinary.

Jul 29, 2008 Bottle, as Trippels Dubbel Christmas Edition. Pours a clear, golden to copper body with a minimal off-white head. Notes of cooked vegetables in the aroma, else it’s roasted malt, dried fruits and caramel. The flavor is much the same, but the alcohol is detected, but not being annoying. Medium body. A quite nice beer, but not spot on. (080620)

Jul 16, 2008 Bottle. Creamy off-white almost yellow head! Dark red-amber wonderfull colour. Moderate malty and hoppy perfectly balanced aroma. Lots of fruity notes. Mderate bitter flavor.Long spicey and fruity finish. Creamy palate. Great stuff.
