Pours lightly hazy brown amber with a diminishing small head. Ends up as a thin foam on one side of the glass. Aroma is very fruity, some raspberries, raisins, nuts and light chocolate. Medium to high carbonation, nice creaminess. Flavour is sweet, good dark fruits with some chocolate in the finish. Nice dubbel. Maria (3963), Thisted, Denmark Mar 22, 2008 Mahogany red with a medium head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel and dark fruits. The flavour has sweetness, notes of roasted malt, caramel, burnt sugar, light dark fruits and spicy yeast (not too spicy). IMO it’s a very harmonic and full-bodied beer. Thanks to Martin, the brewer, for this one, it had just been bottled, and he had not yet had the time for labeling it.
