| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Nov 10, 2009 Cobalt pint. Pours a cola like body with a quick dissipating head. Malty caramel body, milk, and appleish notes. Light chocolate and caramel tones with a mild bitterness. Some light minerals and a appleish and somewhat oxidation like paper tone. Drinkable and nothing more. maeib (4766), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 12, 2009 Bottled A black beer with a small off white ring of head. The aroma has sourness and a little grassiness together with a lactic quality. Acidic smokiness in the mouth with more milk; a bit off this time. There are hints of roast but it’s the sourness which dominates, and, I am sure, is actually gate crashing.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Dark brown with an orangey glow and a small, beige head. Very discreet aroma, perhaps a touch of roasted malt. Very thin and watery body. Starts somewhat smoked, vaguely coffeeish with some roasted malt, but it’s all gone in no time. No real hops. Quite unusual. mikerockport (1), Rockport, Texas, USA does not count | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | Oct 26, 2008 This is a beer that I discovered while in the border town of Nuevo Progreso Mx, along the Tx borber. the first thing I noticed was the cobalt blue bottle. the pure beauty of the it was amazing. At $3.00 us for the 500ml it seemed like a good deal for an apparently high end brew. Once I got it home and chilled it, I found it to to have a shocking sour/bitter choc taste, with an smokey undertone.
I am not sure if i like or dislike this.
It is simply different than any beer Ihave ever tasted. I have read that others have noted a fruity flavor or prunes or other fuits. I did not catch that. However i would call the sourness very much like that you woould have if you add a dose of lime to a stout.

| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Oct 13, 2008 This is a really weird beer. It tastes almost exactly like rust. It reminds me of burnt beans and dirty water. Or like licking a dirty hand. Yeah, somewhat like that. imdownthepub (5177), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 1, 2008 Bottled, 500ml, pasteurised from Quercus Brewery and Bottle shop, Kingsbridge, Devon. Virtually black with brown head. One of those beers that as soon as you see it you must try it, sharp and tart fruity beer with lashings of prune and dates on a toffee caramel body. Never gets dry enough for me with a cloying sweetness, but its never bad or off. A word about the bottle, it is incredible, like buying a big bottle of perfume, it must cost them a fortune.
