Amber brown with a slight opacity and a beige head. Malt and clove on the nose. A sweet brown sugar malt and a prominent but pleasantly complimentary alcohol note which fades well into a clean sweet almond and cinnamon finish. Medium body.

Bottle. The Hacker-Pschorr Animator smells a little bit of alcohol (not a big surprise...), light malty and surprisingly of molasses- The rather small creamy off-white head is nearly fully disappearing. The body is red. The first taste is quite bitter and medium long staying, the finish is unfortunately rather unpleasant. The beer has a medium body with normal carbonation and a light alcoholic finish. A not so nice Doppelbock.

Followed by a mild sweetends breadish malt and a smooth caramel flavour into the finish. Light bitterness and spiced finish. Light chocolate/caramel smoothness into the far finish.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also, very much foam for a doppelbock. Tastes strong and spicy, like christmas, intense but not alcoholic finish. Not too malty. Really good! Big thanks to joss for the bottle!
