Found on tap in Munchin occasionally. For Doppelbock standards it definetly fits the mold. The aroma is sweet and mildly fruity. The taste has a slight chocolate flavor with a mild bitterness. Not a very sweet doppelbock, but just enough to tantilize the tastebuds.

Ouuu...these Hacker Pshorr are nice beers. I’ve tried many of them, but this one is the best. I like doppelbocks anyway. Dark red beer with strong alcohol bite, and great taste.

Hazy red orange with a steady, slim off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, brown sugar and sweet fruit. Similar for the taste, plus; very smooth, quite sweet with a slight bitter finish. Excellent doppel.

The DM & Hotstuff’s European Honeymoon trip beer number 58. This bottled brew from Joss poured a large sized head of fine to large sized light brown colored bubbles that left behind a softly carbonated caramel brown colored body and a good lacing. The aroma was a dark caramel malty one and the mouth feel was smooth initially with a lingering caramel malt bite in the finish. The flavor contained notes of smooth malty vinous caramel brown malts and was quite good! It reminded me as to why I like the Doppelbocks so much!

Great bottle with 2 Rams butting heads. A truly outstanding beer. A golden caramel color. Sweet malty aroma and flavor. Very smooth for a 7.8% beer.

Bottle, .5 liter. Wow, one of my favorite doppel bocks. Sweet and malty w/some nuts, all well balanced and working in harmony.

Flip-top bottle as a gift from a friend. Nice hazy copper-amber body with a consistent foamy off white/tan head. Rich aroma with vanilla, toffe, sweet caramel and fine spicies like cinnamon and clove. Some fruits and nuts in the nose too. Absolutely complex body, smooth mouthfeel with a sweet liqueric caramel malt flavor, fine spicy character(vanilla, candy sugar, cinnamon), fruity tastes of raisins and dried fruits, balanced hop on the tongue. Fine and strong character. One-dimensional???

Great malty Twizzler aroma, sweet and vapory. Red-orange hazy with light lacing head. Medium-heavy body with light-medium carbonation. Sweet caramel sugary start, alcohol, vapory. Sweet warming finish, malty. Nutty sweet after. Nice doppel.
