For Doppelbock standards it definetly fits the mold. The aroma is sweet and mildly fruity. The taste has a slight chocolate flavor with a mild bitterness. Not a very sweet doppelbock, but just enough to tantilize the tastebuds. pivski (24), Zagreb, Croatia

I like doppelbocks anyway. Dark red beer with strong alcohol bite, and great taste. JonMoore (1561), Loughborough, Leicestershire, England

Aroma is malt, caramel, brown sugar and sweet fruit. Similar for the taste, plus; very smooth, quite sweet with a slight bitter finish. Excellent doppel. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA

This bottled brew from Joss poured a large sized head of fine to large sized light brown colored bubbles that left behind a softly carbonated caramel brown colored body and a good lacing. The aroma was a dark caramel malty one and the mouth feel was smooth initially with a lingering caramel malt bite in the finish. The flavor contained notes of smooth malty vinous caramel brown malts and was quite good! It reminded me as to why I like the Doppelbocks so much! LiebeBier (793), Annapolis, Maryland, USA

Nice hazy copper-amber body with a consistent foamy off white/tan head. Rich aroma with vanilla, toffe, sweet caramel and fine spicies like cinnamon and clove. Some fruits and nuts in the nose too. Absolutely complex body, smooth mouthfeel with a sweet liqueric caramel malt flavor, fine spicy character(vanilla, candy sugar, cinnamon), fruity tastes of raisins and dried fruits, balanced hop on the tongue. Fine and strong character. One-dimensional??? Nate (2551), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
