FunkyBrewster (435), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 26, 2009 500 ml bottle. Pours a hazy medium orange color with a thick creamy white head. Aroma is very zesty, fruity, some apple crispness and a nice floral hoppiness around the sweet caramel maltiness. Flavor has a very rich and floral character, nice bready malt body and sweet caramel toffee character that balances nicely with the clean and fruity hops. Finishes clean and crisp. Medium body and a softer but fizzy carbonation. Really refreshing and tasty. FatPhil (3443), Espoo, Finland Oct 25, 2009 Keg (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Oktoberfest2009)
Coudy orange, small head. Dry dusty aroma. Crisp carbonation. Hug grainy and wheaty retronasals. Light, biscuity finish, simple resiny hops a touch herby and nettly in places. Long finihs is biscuity. Clean and tasty. KyotoLefty (1370), Kyoto, Japan Oct 20, 2009 Bottle.
Dark golden yellow-orange color, very cloudy, big head but fast fading. Aroma of malt, yeast, and quite sour as well; not a particularly pleasant aroma, really. A rather sweet-and-sour flavor too. Close to a weizen in flavor, some banana and spice, but very different. Not much hops, very lightly carbonated, strong yeast-like flavor. Sweet, malty finish that also resembles a weizen. Decent, but not really exciting to me. The first glass from the bottle was not so nice, but the second glass, containing the sediment, was much more full-flavored and likeable. Not great, but definitely interesting and drinkable. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Oct 15, 2009 Bottle 50cl. w. swing top @ home. Thick creamy white head. Rich lager scented, malt nose. Avery nice delivery of bitterness. Smooth, very drinkable. Hint of lemon zest in the finish hidden within the hops. Medium bodied with a touch of fruitiness and bread. I would look forward to drinking this beer many times more. MadIndian (987), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 16, 2009 Bottled gift. Hazy pour with off white head. Mild cirus notes with a bready finish. Same in taste with the exception of a mild bitter bite. It is a nice beer. bgiamatei (225), São Paulo, Brazil Sep 14, 2009 Boa cerveja. Coloração laranja claro, turva, muito bonita. Cheiro opaco de malte. refrescante. amargor pronunciado e bem encaixado. Suavemente frutada. asheft (1374), Marburg, Germany Aug 22, 2009 [bottle]
Nice, almost lemony hops aroma with a good dose of malt sweetness that is nearly caramelly. Hazy straw-gold with a rocky foam that drops to a whit ring. Well balanced sweet malt with herbal and citrusy hops and a subtle bitterness that does not linger. Medium body, moderate carbonation, clean finish.
