Bottle from the Dodgi’ Deli’ Cowley Road, Oxford and supped whilst gliding down the Thames on a narrowboat 15-09-07 Poured golden bit hazy, quite fizzy large white head. Some yeast and malt on the nose, it tasted refreshing malty yeasty and really pretty good some bitterness. Not bad at all.

bottle. Golden yellow, slightly hazy, medium-size head. Malty aroma. Flavours of hop and yeast, slightly hoppy. There is a somewhatunpleasant flavour present which reminds me of vegetables.

It’s a golden beer with a moderate head. The aroma has notes of malt, hops and fruit and the flavour is fruity with notes of flower. There is a light sweetness and a very modest bitterness, it’s refreshing and OK.

Malty, cloudy, fresh bread flavour, honey aroma, light hop nose, well balanced. A well done helles.

On tap at the Castle; Tapped a hazy clouded gold with a tight sticky 2 finger white cap that laced the glass in draining. Aroma was pungent bread dough aromas with some subtle honey-citrus and grassy wild botanical tones. Profile: sturdy bready malts in the front give a rich medium body and creamy mouth feel...ample German noble hops to balance; herbal-spicey tones...mid palate we get some of the complexity of an unfiltered full-of-life lager....hoppy bready sweetness is joined by the herbal bittering and some citrus-raisin tones....finish is crisp and a tad dry with medium bittering and a wonderful bread dough aftertaste. Impression: This tastes like my favorite Munich helles but much more full of life...fresh, rich malt and yeast flavours, bright crisp hopping...well balanced and drinkable...if this was on tap all the time at my local watering hole I’d rarely stray from it as a favorite session lager.

Bought Aral gas station, Southern Germany: 50cl bottle. Unclear orange with a white bubbly head. Malts & fruits. Ok mouthfeel & taste. Fine lacings. Hoppy notes - slight bitter-fresh & crisp. An unfiltered lager - A very nice one!

Bottle. Pours a nice golden yellow with loads of bubbles. Head is white and bubbly/foamy. Nice sweet aroma. Lots of grains, barn and hay with a honey-like backbone. Low carbonation giving the beer a slightly oily feel. Flavour is also sweet with lots of malt, some caramel and a nice dry bitterness at the end. Well brewed.

Bottle. Three finger white fizzy head that mostly diminished. Light cloudy body with an orange/golden colour. Nice aroma of grain, caramel, fruit, honey and light bitter notes of hops. Light to medium bodied with an average carbonation. Flavour was light sweet with hint of bitter hops. Nice sweet finish. Reasonable well brewed and very drinkable.
