Aromas are sweet biscuit malts with hints of citrus and bready yeast, also some metallic hops. Flavours are sweet, light sticky toffee malts with lemon notes and a dry, metallic, hoppy finish with more toffee sweetness. Not a style I have drank before but I am impressed by this brew.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 28, 2009 Slightly hazy golden orange coloured body with some nice highlights and a very dense tan head - perfect! Aroma of fresh sugars, fruits, malt, yeast and a bit of citrus - very nice. Light-bodied; Strong assertive malts up front fading to a good and pleasant sweetness with not much else lingering. Aftertaste shows a bit of complexity with some spices and nuts trailing the sugars. Overall, a pretty good beer and well worth lugging it back home! I sampled this 50 cL swing-top bottle purchased in a small convenience store in Munchen, Germany on 15-November-2008, sampled on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 27-March-2009. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 27, 2009 Lightly hazed golden liquid. Moderate, stable white head. What I would have to say is a typical aroma for the style. Sweet grain, hints of noble hops and touch of lemon zest. Full pale malt flavors. To me this is what beer is, a simple mix of malt and hops. Not much pretense to this. Some flowery hops in the middle. A bit of bitterness and touch of citrus in the finish to crisp things up. To use the latest statement of the era, "it it what it is". A hearty down to earth lager. rosenbergh (902), Helsinki, Finland

Hazy pale orange/yellow colour with medium white head. Earthy malty aroma with some honey sweetness. Earthy grassy malty flavour. Some hints of hops, not much though. Not bad.
