TimE (1301), Tokyo, Japan

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 28, 2008 50cl swingtop - pours a hazy straw color, with a frothy, lasting head - aroma of yeast, bread dough, honey, light tartness, a tiny bit of stale hops, earthiness - creamy mouthfeel - the flavor is quite bready, with some honey sweetness through the middle, followed by on almost wheaty tang, orange notes - grassy, herbal bitterness arrives late, but remains mellow - quite yeasty and earthy - it’s got that nice subtle complexity I like in this style - long bready finish, with a little bit of flowery hops sticking to it - smooth and easy-drinking - at 2.99 a bottle, I’ll be stocking up.
