Pours clear, pale golden with a small, frothy, white head. Aroma is pretty grassy, good bready malts that don’t seem overly sweet. Light carbonation, good and dry mouthfeel. Flavour is wonderfully grassy, hay, sweetish malts. Great, long-lasting dry finish. Nice. SHIG (2012), Aviano, Italy Feb 14, 2009 Bottle: Poured a golden color with a white head. GregClow (2492), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 29, 2008 Draught at The Abbot on the Hill Oktoberfest Dinner. Light golden with a small white head. Fresh aroma of bread crust & herbs, with some cut grass notes as well. Crisp body. Very fresh flavour, crisp and summery, with an excellent flavour balance and a dry, moreish finish. Very good! SkyCop32 (286), Morlautern, Germany Dec 20, 2008 This poured a clear to golden color with a hoppy aroma and hints of grass. This was very much like a german Pils, mostly water. After a few beers this would have very little taste. but in the end, it is a good pils. matt7215 (942), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Dec 9, 2008 on tap at the castle on king. enjoyed because of the suggestion of jessem. golden with a tight white head and beautiful lacings all down the glass. some haze would have made this a five in appearance. aroma is quite hoppy with bready malt background. very fresh and clean aroma. something im sure ill miss once the castle is gone. flavours are very hop driven. classic noble hops with some german pils malts supplying the canvas for the hops to come to life. ive never really seen a classic german pils shine before but this one showed me the light. a big thanks to jesse and a huge thanks to the castle for providing the opportunity to try this rare specimen before fading into obscurity. to the castle on king......YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!!!
