Some faint metallic notes in aroma, with some pleasing light hops and fresh light malt. Taste - again, a little metallic at first, followed by some nice hops and malt. Grassy. Really improves as it sits, hops came through nicely toward the middle of the glass. A decent quencher. JorisPPattyn (5172), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 13, 2008 Small, fast gone white head over golden beer. Spilled milk smell, slightly grassy, going over into neutral-malty. Strangely, taste give slight but discernably toasted malts in the flavour. Falls flat, leaving a flavour as from oxydated rice. Very dead MF, light body. Ho-hum pils, certainly for a German one. imdownthepub (5145), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England

Quite a straight forward Pilsener, light malty, slightly grainy and wet paper body with a delicate, but distant lemon hop not, more oily than sharp. In fact the whole beer could do with being a little sharper, for me. ogivlado (3070), Zagreb, Croatia

Draught at Bayerischer Donisl, Munich.
Golden coloured, small white head, odd barnyard caramel nose. Malty, light hoppy and grainy taste with notes of cardboard and maize. Bitterish hoppy herbal finish and aftertaste. Lousy milestone. Marsiblursi (1646), Göteborg, Sweden

The aroma is of white bread, grain and a straw-like maltiness with herbal hops to back it up. The flavour is of wet cardboard/paper, grassy/herbal hops and straw-like malt. Light buttery. The mouthfeel is tight and cardboard dry. Light sweet and light to medium bitter. Medium bodied.

Bready and papery with grassy and herbal hops. Dry with a marked bitterness. Would have been really good without the paper aromas. sirPino (860), Zawiercie / Żywiec, Poland

Bottle brown, 500 ml, 11.5P
Appearance: Pours very bright golden, citrusy body colour, perfectly clear in its texture, there is very gentle carbonation, as the beer quickly decarbonates but on the other hand the head is very thick, huge initially, than slowly decreasing to a small, gives preminant lacing what is nice to see in the Pilsener type of beer, deep frothy seems almost creamy and slighty off - white.
Aroma: Sharp and refreshing hoppyness which is very distinct and high in its aroma, herbal, focused and also somewhere in its deepness gentle sweet malty touch, very citrusy, reminding a lot like Classic Bohemian Pilsener of very high quality and sharing a lot with its Bohemian neighbour. Some interesting accdity, a hint of sauerkraut.
Flavour: Very nice and pronounced sharp hoppyness giving strong and focused bitterness on your palate especially after some time, in the aftertaste aromatic herbal, refreshing and pronounced hoppy nose. Maltyness is hidden somewhere at the background, very high hoppy content. I haven’t encountered so high hoppy level beer in a long time up to now. Citrusy notes, lemon seeds and grapefruit. Very light body, in texture dry, refreshing, easy going and generally strenghtening apetite. Malty is not as fat in its content or stress on malty sweetness as some ’Bohemian Pilseners’ but still decent and unforgetable, mild but not sparkling on palate due to low body carbonation.
Palate: Body is light, texture is definitely dry, carbonation on palate is very low, finish feel is citrusy, clean and surprisingly not that chalky. shintriad (698), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
